that life begins of 80kmph. With 135 bhp of power growling under it's
hood , thanks to a revolutionary new 16 V DOHC MPFI petrol
engine, the EXi has enough speed to make the very idea of a shortcut
redundant.
The power plant products 195 Nm peak torque at just 3750 rpm and a
very healthy low and torque for plugging through city traffic. But the
engine isn't just a study in power alone. Every nook and cranny has
innovations built into it. Double overhead cams and twice as many
intake and exhaust valves (four valves per cylinder instead of just
two) make for a smoother, quieter cooler and more efficient engine.
An intelligent microprocessor constantly fine-tunes the fuel injection
and injection, enhancing engine performance under all operating
conditions. A knock sensor senses and smoothens out the engine in case
of knocking, fuel gets automatically cut off in coasting mode and in
accidents avoiding spillage-related fires, the ignition timing is
self -adjusting, eliminating the need for tuning or maintenance. But

ANTILOCK BRAKING SYSTEM
Forget what you learnt at driving school. The next time you break on
wet or slippery surfaces, the Anti Lock Breaking System (ABS) with
Electronic Brake Force Distribution system (EBD) will pump the
brakes for you. The 4-sensor, 3-channel ABS uses electronic controls
to maintain wheel rotation when you break hard and prevents the
wheels from locking up. The ABS pumps brakes at up to 30 times per
second in an alternating pattern that helps you stay in control and
stop the car in straight line rather than spinning out of control.
